Very rough weekend in NJ, but Coco loved the park nonetheless.

Rob went to NJ to take care of some family matters and when he returned we went for dinner at Habitat. To brighten a somewhat gloomy day for him, we was chosen as a contestant and won his round at Quiz Night. He won 'all he could drink' for 30 minutes.

Yeah, it's that time of year. I know people love fall, but I don't----it means winter is coming :(

Me: When I was in high school, I worked at McDonald's.
Kyle: Do you have the recipe for the apple pie?

Things I love about Greenpoint:

The Beer Store
Great view of the city
Polish sausage
Ample parking
The fact that Polish people go to church in droves.....

I know movies are good for the NYC economy, but they drive me crazy. They take over parking on the streets and sometimes, they take over the whole street.

I was eating and Coco just sat there staring at me. I took a bunch of pictures of her and they are all the same.

Ummmm.....Yeah, that's me in the background of November 2010's issue saluting Wendy Kopp. She is one of the co-founders of Teach for America.

Our class went for a guided tour of a ship, Peking, on the South Street Seaport. Our guide showed us a fid, which is a tool used to make and remove knots on ropes.

Paul (guide): Does anyone want to try to guess what this piece of wood is?
Kyle: It's a pirate leg.

Polam, the best Polish butcher in Greenpoint.

It's kind of hot that my hubbs can change the brakes of the car.

In all of my years teaching, I have never seen a drawing like this. This story was about a bike race and if you look closely, you can see the people riding one wheeled bikes. I'm not sure about the lightening bolts coming out of the heads, but it's kind of cool!

These are all of Marcus's suh-purises from NY. Every time he goes to my mom's house, which is daily, he asks her if he has a suh-purise for him- which she does. While we were shopping in the city, we stopped at FAO Schwartz and all the Brown ladies bought him some suh-purises.
